Town Trenčianske Teplice
Famous writer Jókai called this town „the Pearl of Karpaty mountains“ deservedly. The first written documents about Trenčianske Teplice as a spa are from the 13th century. The spa was owned by Ilésházy family for almost quarter of a millenium. The town flourished mostly in the second half of the 19th century due to a banker baron Georg Sina, his son Simon and granddaughter Ifigénia d´Harcourt who let build an oriental bath Hammam.
Trenčianske Teplice has less than 5000 inhabitants and is only 15 kilometres far from county seat Trenčín. It lies in the valley of the river Teplička at the foothill of Strážov mountains, 272 metres above sea level.
This picturesque location in beautiful nature coupled with urban and architectural character creates an outstanding atmosphere of relax and peace.
